Join Premier Partnership and Breaking the Cycle as they mark Self Injury Awareness Day 2024. We are delighted to announce the launch of our free taster session, "Self-Harm Awareness," designed to empower individuals working in diverse settings to understand, recognise, and appropriately respond to self-harm.

Course Overview:

This comprehensive course is tailored for professionals across various sectors, including residential care homes, residential children's homes, hospitals, and community-based caregivers. The objective is to raise awareness about self-harm issues, identify factors that increase the risk, and equip caregivers with the knowledge to understand and respond effectively.

Mapped to Key Legislations:

The course has been meticulously developed and aligned with key legislations such as:

  • The Care Act 2014
  • Leaving Care Act 2000
  • Children Act 2004
  • Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • Making Safeguarding Personal
  • Principles of safeguarding and protection in Health and Social Care

  • What makes a service user vulnerable to self-harm?
