Premier Partnership Support High School Careers Conference

Jul 09, 2024

David Pearson, Premier Partnership Director, recently attended the Careers Conference at Villiers High School in Southall as part of the company's commitment to Social Value. There, he had the opportunity to meet and engage with students from Years 8, 11, and 12, offering them valuable support and guidance on their career paths, further education options, and employability skills.

Villiers High School, the longest-established school in the borough, boasts a rich history, strong traditions, and a diverse and supportive learning community. This highly successful 11-19 co-educational school consistently aims to equip its students with the necessary skills and experiences to thrive in the world of work.

"It was a fantastic day meeting so many students from such varied backgrounds," said Pearson. "I spoke with them about the possibilities of a career in the learning and development sector, and I was particularly impressed by the interest several students expressed in this field."

Pearson continued, emphasising the importance of giving back to the community and supporting future generations of learning and development professionals. "We, as a business, have a responsibility to invest in the next generation. Based on the talent and enthusiasm I witnessed at Villiers, I have no doubt these students have a bright future ahead. I wish them all the best in their future endeavours."

Why learning and development is not working in your organisation
Why learning and development is not working in your organisation

We’ve all experienced the dread of tick-box learning and development programmes. Typically, it’s training that seems to slow-down time, numb the brain and have the reliable ability to make us imagine an infinite number of places we’d rather be.
