Premier Partnership at the Forefront of Skills Development

Nov 28, 2024

Premier Partnership attended the 2024 CBI Annual Conference, held on Monday 25th November, where business leaders, policymakers, and key stakeholders came together to address the challenges and opportunities shaping the UK economy. Representing Premier Partnership, Director David Pearson and Sales Director Mark Bytheway engaged in vital discussions with business leaders around the pressing needs of businesses and the pivotal role of skills training in driving economic resilience and growth.

The Annual Conference focused on actionable strategies to propel growth, build resilience, and foster innovation in an increasingly competitive global market. With topics ranging from the UK's leadership in net zero to advances in technology, there was a shared optimism about the nation’s potential. However, delegates consistently highlighted the urgent need for investment in skills and workforce development to secure long-term success.

Both David Pearson and Mark Bytheway reflected on the critical role businesses like Premier Partnership play in closing skills gaps and empowering workforces to adapt to emerging demands. The discussions underscored the importance of collaboration between businesses and local providers to ensure training is both relevant and impactful.

The conference featured keynote speakers, including a speech by Chancellor Rachel Reeves, who reinforced the government’s commitment to fostering growth and innovation. Additionally, a speech by Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch emphasising the significance of proactive measures to sustain the UK's economic leadership.

A standout theme of the conference was the importance of upskilling workforces to remain competitive in the global market. As a leader in delivering tailored training solutions, Premier Partnership’s presence at the event reaffirmed its dedication to supporting businesses in addressing these challenges head-on.

The message was clear: to unlock the UK’s potential, businesses must prioritise workforce development. Premier Partnership, with its proven track record of creating bespoke training programmes, is uniquely positioned to help organisations close skills gaps and equip employees with the expertise needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Mark Bytheway commented, “This conference provided a unique opportunity to understand the needs of the business community directly. It’s evident that skills training is no longer optional—it’s a necessity for growth and resilience in today’s economy.”

David Pearson added, “The collaboration between policymakers and business leaders at this event highlights a shared commitment to innovation and sustainability. Premier Partnership is proud to be part of the solution, helping businesses build a stronger future through effective skills training.”

The 2024 CBI Annual Conference concluded with a resounding call for businesses to take proactive steps in addressing workforce challenges. Premier Partnership remains at the forefront of this, working closely with organisations to deliver training that empowers employees and positions businesses for success.
