In recognition of National Stress Awareness Week, Premier Partnership are offering a free online session, "Managing Stress at Work." This timely workshop, hosted by Breaking the Cycle, is designed to help organisations effectively address stress and mental health challenges in the workplace.

With mental health issues becoming more prevalent and workplace-related stress on the rise, it is crucial for organisations to take a proactive approach. This session equips both staff and managers with essential information and strategies to promote mental well-being. By following national guidelines, this course helps participants recognise mental health concerns, improve their responses, and create a healthier work environment.
What You'll Learn:
The workshop covers key topics related to mental health, including the impact of stress, anxiety, depression, and psychosis. It will also explore the issue of "Dual Diagnosis," where individuals use alcohol or substances to self-medicate in response to poor mental health.

- Reflect on the relationships between line managers and employees.
- ACAS guidance on good practice and promoting good health.
- Recognise the importance of getting employees involved.
- Consider the impact of job design, flexible working and the use of occupational health.

- Increase knowledge of alcohol and drug problems and why mental health is connected to substance misuse.
- Consider processes such as disciplinary and Attendance Management.
- Review management checklists and defensible work practice.
