Active Allyship Roundtable
Premier Partnership recently announced their range of courses under the banner of Active Allyship, running across four pillars, our mission is to actively SUPPORT peers, minority and marginalised groups, CHALLENGE the status quo and not to accept problematic BEHAVIOURS and ideologies that have been normalised by society.
With the key aim to create a safe and inclusive CULTURE through Allyship by raising awareness and challenging norms, and to that end, we have been working with our experienced partners to develop and create a suite of courses that can support organisations across this complex subject.
Courses in the programme currently being developed and delivered by experts in the respective fields include How to be an Active Ally, Menopause Awareness, Identifying and Challenging Bias, Impostor Syndrome, Race, Racism and Ethnicity Awareness, LGBTQ+ Awareness, Male Mental Health, Transgender Awareness, Women’s Allyship and Neurodiversity.
We would like to invite you to our FREE Active Allyship Roundtable on Tuesday 20th September 2022 from 2pm – 3pm introducing our ’How to be an Active Ally’ author and lead associate Jo Gillibrand, and with World Menopause Day 2022 on 18th October, we also welcome Fay Reid, who has written our Menopause Awareness course.
Jo has worked with several organisations serving LGBTQ+ communities, disabled individuals, people with varied cultural heritages and other often marginalized groups and has spent many years in HR and change management in the public sector.
Her years in HR and change management in the public sector has sharpened her understanding of how people can be actively included or excluded by legal, organisational, policy and personal factors.
Fay launched 9to5menopause on social media, initially just to share tips and present menopause in a more realistic light. Fay is now a well-respected Menopause ambassador and will be discussing the subject of why many women leave their careers early as they do not feel supported when it comes to the menopause, the lack of awareness, being overlooked for promotion, being made to feel they do not exist, or that they are too old resulting in companies losing valuable staff members with a wealth of knowledge and experience. She believes passionately about changing the narrative, stigma and negatively around the menopause.
