Sophie Smashes Her Second Half Marathon Challenge – Worksop Halloween Half Marathon 2025
Following her inspiring debut earlier this year, Premier Partnership’s own Catalogue Administrator, Sophie, has once again crossed the finish line — this time at the Worksop Halloween Half Marathon 2025, held on Sunday, 26 October 2025.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable? Sophie signed up just five and a half weeks before race day, returning from her holiday in Rhodes only 24 hours prior to the event. Despite no structured training for nearly a month due to a leg injury, a bout of illness, and some weather setbacks, Sophie demonstrated incredible determination and resilience to complete the race — conquering the infamous Worksop hills in the process!
Reflecting on the experience, Sophie shared:
“It wasn’t exactly planned — and definitely not easy after a few tough weeks — but I’m proud I crossed that finish line. The support from other runners and the Halloween spirit kept me going!”
The Worksop Halloween Half Marathon is known for its scenic, undulating route through Clumber Park and the Nottinghamshire countryside, often featuring runners in costume and plenty of festive fun. Over 1,200 runners completed the half marathon that was started by Chair of Bassetlaw Council, Cllr Tony Eaton.
The event, organised by Worksop Harriers, was established in 1982 and has been nationally recognised as one of the most scenic runs in the country. Entrants of all standards travel to Worksop to take part and look to earn one of the coveted finisher t-shirts, medal, and record personal best times.
Sophie’s story is a testament to perseverance, self-belief, and the ability to push through adversity — values that perfectly align with Premier Partnership’s commitment to personal development and wellbeing.
Congratulations, Sophie, on another fantastic achievement!
