Overview

To support senior managers to enhance their competencies in the effective delivery of presentations to senior political leaders and chief officers.

Learning

• Gain and maintain rapport with the audience and hold their attention and interest throughout a presentation that is delivered in
• person or virtually.
• Select essential content and timings, and set out the logical flow of information.
• Use audience interaction for maximum impact and the best audience experience.
• Help people to understand and remember key information.
• Deliver engaging presentations using in
• person (face
• to
• face), hybrid or virtual platforms.
• Use notes, supporting aids and/or props effectively.
• Manage their audience and their questions.
• Undertake a practical exercise in delivering an effective solo presentation to a group utilising theories and models.

Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course)
