Paediatric First Aid and Adult CPR

Overview

Give basic lifesaving first aid information to delegates for adults and children and infants, includes theory-based information provided by a qualified tutor and interactive practical elements including CPR and use of an AED on a first aid mannequin.

Learning

• After this course learners will be able to:
• Assess the injury or illness.
• Provide CPR – Adults, children and infants.
• Understand the recovery position.
• Assess an unconscious Casualty.
• Understand what to do if someone is choking.
• Manage some on who is suffering catastrophic Bleeding.

Assessment

Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course)
