Mental Health Awareness for Managers
Overview
To raise awareness of mental health issues, reduce stigma & discrimination, and increase confidence to support people with mental health issues in the workplace.
Learning
- Objectives: by the end of the workshop you will be able to:
- Understand some of the issues surrounding mental health, including the effects of stigma and discrimination.
- Recognise the main signs & symptoms of mental ill health.
- Feel more confident talking to someone with a mental health issue and guiding them to appropriate support.
- Understand what is legally required of you under the Equality Act 2010.

Target audience is managers, middle managers, team leaders and senior managers.
Assessment
Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course)
