Overview

To raise awareness of mental health issues, reduce stigma & discrimination, and increase confidence to support people with mental health issues in the workplace.

Learning

  • Objectives: by the end of the workshop you will be able to:
  • Understand some of the issues surrounding mental health, including the effects of stigma and discrimination.
  • Recognise the main signs & symptoms of mental ill health.
  • Feel more confident talking to someone with a mental health issue and guiding them to appropriate support.
  • Understand what is legally required of you under the Equality Act 2010.

Other

Target audience is managers, middle managers, team leaders and senior managers.

Assessment

Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course)
