Overview

To provide awareness of the legal responsibilities, risks and control of Legionella and prevention of scalding incidents.

Learning

  • Understand the relevant legal legislation pertinent to Legionella.
  • Understand what Legionella is and describe the symptoms.
  • Demonstrate awareness of legionellosis, scalding and other water related illnesses.
  • Understand how to manage the water systems to reduce the risk problems occurring.
  • Understand the importance of good record keeping.

Assessment

Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course)
