Overview

To enable delegates to undertake quality risk assessments on behalf of their organisation by providing an understanding of Risk Assessments processes to identify and control risks at work.

Learning

    By the end of this session, learners will have:

  • Identify hazard and likelihood data and assess risks.

    Identify tools and techniques to be able to prioritise risk.

    Record general risk information effectively and appropriately.

    Implement general risk control strategies and recommend short to long-term risk controls.

    Define general risk management requirements, responsibilities and accountabilities.

    Develop an auditable approach to assist general risk management.

    List the 5 steps to Risk Assessment in the order that they should occur.

The target audience of this course is individuals responsible for undertaking or reviewing risk assessments.
This is a Non accredited version of the IOSH approved course and takes place via a two day interactive workshop.

The course is broken down into 10 modules:
– Module One – Safety Principles and Drivers.
– Module Two – Workplace Hazards.
– Module Three – Controlling Risks.
– Module Four – Risk Assessment and the Law.
– Day 2 Introduction and Mock Exam.
– Module Five – Reviewing Risk Assessments.
– Module Six – Auditing Risk Assessments.
– Module Seven – Hazard Spotting Practical.
– Module Eight – ?Dynamic Risk Assessment?
– Module Nine – “Help and Action Planning”.
– Module Ten – Summary.
