Fire Warden Marshall Training

Overview

This course provides staff with an understanding of the basic principles, procedures and responsibilities of being a Fire Warden/Marshal.

Learning

• By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
• Understand fire regulations.
• Be aware of their role and responsibilities.
• Be aware of human behaviour involving fires.
• Understand the chemistry of fire.
• Assess the risks from fire hazards and how to spot them.
• Understand the fire safety features within buildings.
• Understand the different types of extinguisher and how to use them.
• Have the knowledge of what action to take if needed in an emergency?.
• Conduct fire checks and keep records.
• Organise safe evacuation procedures.

Assessment

Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course)
