Overview

To provide delegates with essential first aid knowledge.

Learning

  • By the end of this course delegates will:
  • Understand the chain of survival.
  • Know how to assess casualties.
  • Be able to treat choking and shock.
  • Know how to give CPR, use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Understand the importance of the recovery position.
  • Give first response treatment for Catastrophic bleeding injuries.

Assessment

Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course)
