It's a wild-life for Joanne

Premier Partnership’s very own Joanne Goddard has officially signed up to take part in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park 5K Run for Wildlife this October. The popular event, which takes place on Sunday 5th October 2025, will see hundreds of runners and walkers raise awareness and funds for wildlife conservation while enjoying a scenic route through one of the UK’s most unique parks.

For Joanne, this will be a brand-new challenge. Known in the office for her sweet treats and goodie runs rather than running shoes, she admitted that the 5K is something she never thought she’d take on.

“I’ve been persuaded to join the Yorkshire Wildlife Park 5K this October, and it’s definitely outside of my comfort zone! I’ve never run before and I wouldn’t call myself a fitness person, so it’s going to take a lot of practice. I’ve started training with the NHS Couch to 5K app, and while I’ve got a long way to go, I’m determined to give it my best.”

Her honesty and humour have already made her a hit with colleagues cheering her on, and her journey to the event promises to be a fun and inspiring one.

The Run for Wildlife Autumn 5K is held at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster, where participants can run alongside views of incredible animals including lions, giraffes, and rhinos. The event raises vital awareness for global conservation projects, making every step taken on the day even more meaningful.

While Joanne admits she has “a long road of training ahead,” she is approaching the challenge with positivity and determination. Colleagues at Premier Partnership are rallying behind her, proving that sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone can inspire not just yourself, but the whole team.
