Overview
To support senior managers to enhance their competencies in the effective delivery of presentations to senior political leaders and chief officers.
Learning
- By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:
- Gain and maintain rapport with the audience and hold their attention and interest throughout a presentation that is delivered in person or virtually.
- Select essential content and timings, and set out the logical flow of information.
- Use audience interaction for maximum impact and the best audience experience.
- Help people to understand and remember key information.
- Deliver engaging presentations using in person (face to face), hybrid or virtual platforms.
- Use notes, supporting aids and/or props effectively.
- Manage their audience and their questions.
- Undertake a practical exercise in delivering an effective solo presentation to a group utilising theories and models.
Assessment
Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course) Pre-work:

Find part of a session you run/need to run and consider its structure, content and an interactive way of running it
Design a 10-minute (this will depend on numbers) session to run with the group, using supporting aids/interactive methods as appropriate
