SFJ Awards Level 4 Diploma in Learning and Development – (DLD)
Overview
This qualification will provide people who carry out learning and development roles in their organisation with the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for the role.

- By the end of the qualification, learners will:

- Be able to evaluate and improve learning and development provision.

Assessments and evidence:
Assignment
– One assignment in all units (barring unit 006). Ranging from 500 words to 3000 words, dependant on the number of criteria being covered.

Observations by assessor
– Minimum of one observation by your assessor for unit 010 – Manage learning and development in groups.
Witness Testimony
– This can be completed anyone who knows your role, who is not on the qualification.
Work product
– This could be schemes of work, sessions plans, handouts, resources.
Evidence Statement
– This is the final statement to pull together the final criteria points not covered in the above areas.
Statement of Authenticity
– This is your declaration that all work submitted is your own.
This qualification will provide people who carry out learning and development roles in their organisation with the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for the role. They are available to anyone working in: accredited learning; non accredited learning . Learners will cover: Theory and practice of L&D, reflect and improve own practice in L&D, identify individual L&D needs, plan and prepare specific L&D opportunities, resources and programmes, manage L&D in groups, evaluate and improve L&D provision and understand the principles and practices of assessment. Learners must have the opportunity to demonstrate their competence in a real environment working with genuine learners and/or organisations in order to be able to meet all the requirements.
Overall programme length approx. 14 months.
