Problem Solving

Overview

To develop the skills needed by delegates to be able to identify and resolve problems by implementing effective solutions and monitoring outcomes.

Learning

• By the end of this workshop delegates will be able to:
• Identify different types of problem that are encountered in the workplace.
• Describe problems clearly and gather information to define and analyse them accurately.
• Identify the possible cause or causes of problems.
• Use a range of techniques for developing possible solutions.
• Choose and apply appropriate solutions to problems and evaluate their effectiveness.

Assessment

Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course)

Requirements

• Identify a simple workplace problem that they are having or have had in the past. This must be one that is within their control to resolve or recommend solutions for.
