Menopause Awareness
Overview
To provide delegates with a safe space to explore the subject of menopause and it?s impacts both personally and professionally; and create a holistic workplace environment where people can communicate openly about menopause.
Learning
- At the end of this one
- day workshop delegates will:
- Define the menopause and its stages.
- Understand the impact of the menopause on women in their personal lives and professional lives?
- Identify the challenges faced by women whilst in the menopause?
- Appreciate the social, psychological and emotional effects of the menopause?
- Identify effective solutions to support individuals in managing menopause and act as a support, e.g. Menopause Policy.
- Explore the potential impact the menopause can have on a woman’s partner, colleagues, family and friends?

Assessment
Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course)
