This course provides staff with an understanding of the basic principles and procedures of Fire Safety Awareness.
Learning
- By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Understand fire regulations
- Be aware of their role and responsibilities
- Be aware of human behaviour involving fires
- Understand the chemistry of fire and how fire spreads
- Be aware of hazards and how to spot them
- Understand the fire safety features within buildings
- Understand the different types of extinguishers and how to use them
- Have the knowledge of what action to take if needed in an emergency.

Qualitative assessment by tutor (For example: observations or demonstrations throughout course)
