Overview
The CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management Coaching and Mentoring has been designed to support managers in the develpoment of management coaching and mentoring skills, and to identify the links between coaching, mentoring and the achievement of the business goals.
Learning
- By the end of module CMI 5014 leaders will:
- Understand the concept and purpose of management coaching and mentoring.
- Be able to determine the use of management coaching as a tool in human resources development.
- Be able to determine the use of management mentoring as a tool in human resources development.
- Understand the relationship between coaching and mentoring and organisational objectives.
- It will also provide key support for completion of CMI? 5014 Assignment.
By the end of module CMI 5016 leaders will:
- Be able to determine how learning and development styles support the coaching and mentoring practice.
- Be able to develop skills as a manager in coaching and mentoring.
- Be able to articulate and develop a coherent ethical framework to support coaching within an organisation.
- It will also provide key support for completion of CMI? 5016 Assignment.
By the end of module CMI 5017 leaders will:
- Understand the tools and techniques used in coaching practice.
- Understand the need to develop relationships to support coaching practice.
- Understand guidelines and protocols for intervention and the need to develop coaching interventions to meet organisation requirements.
- It will also provide key support for completion of CMI 5017 Assignment.

Delivery methods and timings will be agreed with the client.
Throughout the course learners will complete the following units to achieve their qualification:
Unit 5014 – Introduction to Management Coaching and Mentoring.
Unit 5016 – Using Coaching and Mentoring Skills as a Manager.
CMI 5017 – Coaching Practice and Theory.
