How did the Met reduce training costs by £480,000 last year?

Jan 31, 2023

Join our Roundtable to learn how the Metropolitan Police simplified accessing all their learning and reduced training costs by £480,000 in 2022.

The training required by police forces can be complex to source and often includes challenges around:

• Finding a single place to access a complete catalogue of learning
• Ensuring procurement compliance
• Finding responsive and agile suppliers
• Finding the specialist training required by the police
• Having to onboard too many suppliers
• Negotiating training costs and ensuring value for money

Our police clients consistently receive high quality training from a partner that sources and compliantly provides all of their training needs in a few simple steps. They tell us they value our role as both their managed training service provider and independent learning expert.

On the Roundtable you will hear how Premier Partnership has provided a managed training service to the Metropolitan Police for 9 years.
We will discuss how we worked in partnership to streamline their processes, manage training in-house and negotiate discounts with suppliers. We helped identify areas of cost saving without compromising the quality of training, or the safety of their staff. These measures secured them substantial savings whilst maximising their budget.
Last year alone we were able to save them over £480,000 on their training budgets.

We are delighted to be joined by David Maguire, Senior Learning and Development Professional Advisor from the Met at our roundtable event on Tuesday 21st March 2023. Dave will share his experiences of working with Premier Partnership to improve the quality and value for money of their learning and development.

Hannah Lloyd, Commercial Lead for Professional Services will also be available to discuss how other forces can benefit from our police focussed managed training service and how to maximise their training budgets without compromise.

The Roundtable will be a great opportunity to join other police force learning professionals and learn how to address many of the training challenges currently facing police forces.
