Course Information

A single day introductory course on R.C. Detailing to meet the detailing requirements of Eurocode 2 (EN 1992).

On completion of this course delegates should be able to:

  • Understand the principles of detailing
  • Define individual responsibilities within the detailing process
  • Establish what information should be transmitted for efficient detailing process
  • Apply the appropriate checks and Code clauses to ensure compliance for the general case
  • Apply the appropriate checks for individual members
  • Understand the pitfalls with the current version of EN 1992 – and measures to overcome them
  • Consider buildability when carrying out detailing
  • Understand the bar bending schedule and current standards for scheduling
  • Apply basic good practice rules
